Pianist
« Bullock can immerse himself deeply in piano sound, transmuting the keys into a diversity of styles from Beethovenian gestures and Bullock’s own whispered impressionist sallies to Rachmaninoff’s visceral harmonies. Bullock is a pianist’s pianist. » – The Washington Post

Artistic Director – FIMO Festival
Edmund Barton Bullock is co-founder and Artistic director of the Festival International de Musique en Occitanie FIMO, founded in 2014, and organized by the association « Musique entre Pierres » (Music between Stones). Its mission is to bring to the Occitanian region of France a range of different musical varieties, in harmony with the historical places where they are performed and resonate, ranging from jazz, gospel, the vast classical piano repertory, opera, vocal, tango, chamber music, ancient and sacred music.
With the sustained support of the French SACEM, it also has the mission of bringing beautiful contemporary music to life in this region, a mirror of today's living culture. A moving example: the world premiere in the St. Exupère Church in Toulouse in June 2018 of the oratorio “The Awakening of Humanity”, given by the vocal ensemble Unité, Christian Nadalet, Artistic director, for mixed choir, 4 soloists and piano reduction, based on Native-American wisdom, through the libretto of American author, Monty Joynes.
